Solve Advisors is a New York-based financial technology firm with offices in five countries. We are a leading provider of real-time observable market data and data aggregation across multiple fixed income asset classes including all Structured Products (ABS, MBS, CLOs, etc.), Syndicated Bank Loans, Corporate Bonds (IG, HY, EM, etc.), CDS, and Municipals.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help evolve and design the future of our platform in the marketplace. As an advocate for high quality design, you will collaborate with other teams to empathize with our user to create intuitive, valuable and efficient solutions. Solve’s technology team consists of back-end and front-end developers, QA engineers, system administrators, and is led by our CTO. Our team is nimble, and we value team players. The team collaborates to deliver product developments and enhancements across our internal systems and our desktop and web-based platforms. Responsibilities:

  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
  • Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
  • Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
  • Collaborate with other team members specially marketing team and stakeholders
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas
  • Conduct testing of applications, websites and software to Assess user experience and ease of design
  • Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences
  • To carry out and implement such other duties in relation to above as may be required by the management from time to time

Requirements:

  • You have roughly +5 years design experience in a design environment, in-house, start-up, agency or other relevant industry
  • A user-centred approach to designing software and services for people
  • Experience facilitating discussions and exercises with engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution
  • Self-aware teammate with highly developed emotional intelligence
  • Ability to clearly set and juggle priorities to focus on the most important issues
  • Able to make decisions at the right level, and escalate issues to design leadership as needed
  • Gauge the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for change
  • Validate concepts with customers and stakeholders via high and low fidelity prototypes

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working at financial services or financial technology firms
